Launched 6 years ago we have produced many young professionals for the medium of television. While specializing on TV Presentation and Documentary Program production we also train students for Magazine, Interview, News, and Entertainment, Discussion and Travel program production and Single & Multi Camera productions. 

HTV Academy to launch the training of 18th batch

We offer 4 main subjects

  • Television Program Production and Direction
  • Television Presentation and Narration
  • Television Camera, Lighting and Audio Technology
  • Television Video Editing
Course Details
Course Duration 4 Months
Courses are held on Sundays from 9.00am to 5.00pm
Students per subject Maximum 30
Course fee Main Subject Rs 20000/= (could be paid in installments)
  Additional subjects Rs 5000/+ (per subject)
  (No registration fees or additional charges)
Locations Heritage Television Office in Malabe and Rathnapura Kajugaswaththa Temple

students are expected to face a theory and a practical exam after the completion of the course. The certificates will only be issued to the students who get through the exam. Anyone who fails to attend the final exam due to unavoidable circumstances or medical reasons will be allowed to sit for the next exam without an additional fee.

Our main training location is the Heritage Television Office in Malabe. However for filming and editing, students are expected to come to the selected locations and also to Heritage Television Office in Malabe. Students are provided with cameras and other equipments necessary for training. How ever having your own camera or editing set up is an advantage.

Students who study all four subjects and get good results will be offered to work for Heritage Television on a contract basis. All our best students will be recommended for Television and Radio channels of Sri Lanka.
